Careers in Writing 2025

Emily is the Lead Producer for the annual Careers in Writing day, this year supported by Birmingham City University (BCU) and the Authors Licensing and Collecting Society (ALCS).

Careers in Writing is designed to inspire, inform, and connect young writers who are passionate about pursuing careers in the world of writing or seeking further education in literary fields. This year's event offered a dynamic mix of 1-2-1 sessions, expert talks, and hands-on workshops, providing participants with the tools, knowledge, and inspiration to advance their writing careers.

This year saw the largest attendance since the event began, with panel talks from publishers, poets, script writers, editors, book sellers and festival producers.
